In January-February 2014 grain shipment volumes from the sea ports of Russia reached the level of 2.8 mln tonnes, an increase by 3.9 times compared with the same period last year, reported the Association of Sea Commercial Ports of the Russian Federation on March 11.

At the same time, in the reporting months the sea ports increased the shipment of mineral fertilizers by 8.7%, to 2 mln tonnes.

During the first 2 months of 2014 the general cargo turnover in the Russian seaports increased by 3.9% compared with the same period in 2013, and totaled 92 mln tonnes.
