According to the data of the official statistics, in the recent 5 months of 2013/14 MY (September-February) Russia exported 2.343 mln tonnes of maize. The stated rate exceeded the last season results (1.92 mln tonnes) and 2011/12 MY (2.024 mln tonnes).
Note, in the previous season nearly half of the exported volumes of grain was for Turkey, in the current one the leaders are – the Republic of Korea (26%), Turkey (22%) and Iran (10%).
Note in February, 2014 Russia exported 422.3 thsd tonnes of maize an increase of 4% of January, 2014 and almost by 3 times exceed the rate of February, 2013.
