Russia exported over 20 mln tonnes of grains
Since the beginning of 2013/14 MY (July 1, 2013), and as of March 26, 2014, Russia already exported 20.345 mln tonnes of grains, an increase of 44.1% compared with the same date in 2013 (14.111 mln tonnes), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation referring to operative data of the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
According to the announcement, wheat formed 15.001 mln tonnes of the reporting volume, barley – 2.084 mln tonnes, maize – 3.015 mln tonnes, other grain crops - 245 thsd tonnes.
In the period of March 1-26 the Russian grain exports totaled 1.513 mln tonnes, including 920 thsd tonnes of wheat, 502 thsd tonnes of maize, 74 thsd tonnes of barley, and 16 thsd tonnes of other grains.
