In January-March in Ukraine the bread and bakery goods production totaled 348 thsd tonnes, down 6% compared to the same period of the previous year, declared the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
In particular, in March the bread and bakery goods production totaled 120 thsd tonnes, down 6.7% compared to March, 2013, but up 8.7% compared to the same rate of February, 2014.
In the first quarter of 2014, the domestic flour milling enterprises supplied on the markets 594 thsd tonnes of flour, up 1% compared to January-March, 2013.
At the same time, in the previous month there was the flour production increase by 6.3% and 7.7%, as opposed to March, 2013 and February, 2014 respectively, and totaled 217 thsd tonnes.
