As of May 1, 2014 Ukraine had exported 29.55 mln tonnes of grain, declared the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, in the reported period the wheat exports totaled 8.39 mln tonnes, maize – 18.53 mln tonnes, barley – 49 thsd tonnes, other grain crops – 329 thsd tonnes.
According to the data of the Ministry, there were 1.17 mln tonnes of grain (wheat – 445 thsd tonnes, barley – 49 thsd tonnes, maize – 667 thsd tonnes) at the portside elevators, the shipped ones – 191 thsd tonnes.
Thus, the exported and prepared for export grain crops totaled 30.9 mln tonnes (wheat – 8.91 mln tonnes, barley – 2.32 mln tonnes, maize – 19.34 mln tonnes).
