On May 14, 2014, the European Investment Bank doubled the sum of the financial support of the industry programs and private sector of Ukraine – to 2.6 bln EUR. The stated decision was declared within the Annual Meeting of the Governing Council of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Aleksandr Shlapak and the representative of the EIB, Wilhelm Molterer.
At the same time, within the meeting there were discussed the issues on the realization of the nine current programs in Ukraine, being provided by the EIB. The prospects of the further development of infrastructure, transport, agro-industrial and energy investment programs were on the agenda as well.
W.Molterer mentioned about the plans to visit Ukraine in order to discuss the prospects of the programs' further development and provide the new projects.
