Ukraine obtained the favorable conditions on the trade liberalization of the agricultural commodities with the European Union, declared the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Igor Schwayka on May 15, 2014.

I.Schwayka reminded that after the agreement with the EU comes into force the import duties will be canceled for 83% of agricultural commodities. At the same time, there will be 15% of commodities with the duty rate at the zero level.

The Minister added that at first Ukraine will liberalize its trade for the 35% of tariff lines. Meanwhile, for another 3% (most sensitive) there will be quotas imposed, and for the rest ones, the Government to reduce the duties during the transitional period.

I.Schwayka stated Ukraine will increase the confectionery products' exports owing the import duties' zero setting. At the same time, there are prospects for commodities of sugar and starch industries.
