In 2014 the general grain harvest in Ukraine will exceed the level of 60 mln tonnes, declared Sergei Stoyanov, General Director of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, on May 21.
He noted that in the current year Ukrainian agrarians have all chances to grow and harvest 28.5-29 mln tonnes of maize, 22-22.5 mln tonnes of wheat, nearly 8 mln tonnes of barley, nearly 2 mln tonnes of rye and cereal crops.
According to the forecast of S.Stoyanov, the general grain harvest in Ukraine will total 60.5-61.5 mln tonnes.
As a reminder, according to the State Statistics Service, in 2013 Ukraine harvested 63 mln tonnes of grains.
