Russia exported 25 mln tonnes of grains – Ministry of Agriculture
Since the beginning of 2013/14 MY (July 1, 2013), and as of June 11, 2014, Russia exported 24.983 mln tonnes of grains, an increase of 61.1% compared with the same date in 2013 (15.289 mln tonnes), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation referring to operative data of the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
According to the announcement, wheat formed 18.15 mln tonnes of the reporting volume, barley – 2.538 mln tonnes, maize – 3.973 mln tonnes, other grain crops - 322 thsd tonnes.
In the period of June 1-11 the export volumes of Russian grains reached 408 thsd tonnes, including 256 thsd tonnes of wheat, 54 thsd tonnes of maize, 89 thsd tonnes of barley, and 9 thsd tonnes of other grains.
