In the season-2013/14 total flour exports from Ukraine may reach 230 thsd tonnes, against 198.7 thsd tonnes supplied on foreign markets in 2012/13 MY, declared Sergyi Sakirkin, Director of the grain processing department of PJSC State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine, on June 17 during his speech within the thirteenth international conference "Grain Forum - 2014: New Markets, Challenges and Opportunities".
At the same time, he noted that in 2012/13 MY Ukraine supplied 57% of the Ukrainian flour exports to the CIS countries, but in the season-2013/14 the index will reduce to 21%. Also, the commodity exports to the countries of Southeast Asia will decrease to 11%, against 24% last season.
According to S.Sakirkin, it is expected to significantly increase the export supplies to the Middle East countries. If in 2012/13 MY the export share of Ukrainian flour to the countries totaled 14% of the whole sales, in the current season the index may rise to 35%.
