On June 23, 2013 Crimea started to export new crop grain, declared the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service on July 9, 2014.
As of the reported date, Crimea had exported 22.65 thsd tonnes of second grade barley to Saudi Arabia, and 4.6 thsd tonnes of the stated grain to Cyprus. Also, Crimea produced 306.6 thsd tonnes of barley and 334.3 thsd tonnes of wheat.
At the same time, in 2014/15 MY in Crimea grain harvest will exceed 1 mln tonnes.
