Russia to export 2.3 mln tonnes of grain

In July, 2014 Russia can export nearly 2-2.3 mln tonnes of grain, as opposed to the previous forecast of 1.8-2 mln tonnes. At the same time, the stated rate will be lower, compared to the rate of the same month of 2013 (2.53 mln tonnes), declared the Deputy Director of the Strategic Marketing Department of Rusagrotrans, Igor Panevski on July 15, 2014.

The stated decrease is based on the difference in prices on domestic and export markets of Russia, observed at the beginning of July.

At the same time, I.Panevski stated to date price for new crop Russian wheat on the global market decreased by 4 USD/tonnes – to 243-245 USD/t FOB.

I.Panevski mentioned, that the domestic market faced the stated trend as well. There is an expectation that domestic prices continues to reduce owing the export prices decrease.

The expert estimates Russian exports through deep-water ports in July at the level of 753 thsd tonnes, as opposed to the rate of the same month of 2013 (685 thsd tonnes).
