Russia decreased grain stocks to 11.1 mln tonnes

As of July 1, 2014 in Russia grain stocks of agricultural, procurement and processing organizations had totaled 11.1 mln tonnes, down 12.8% (1,7 mln tonnes) compared to the rate of the same period of 2013.

In particular, agricultural organizations decreased theirs grain stocks by 19% (1.3 mln tonnes) – to 5.6 mln tonnes. The stated rate at the procurement and processing organizations totaled 5.5 mln tonnes, down 5.4% (0.4 mln tonnes).

As of the reported date there were 3.81 mln (-9.7%) tonnes of wheat at the procurement and processing organizations, including 3.07 mln tonnes (-5.6%) of milling wheat. Rye stocks increased by 26.4% - to 432 thsd tonnes, including 344 thsd tonnes of milling rye.

Barley stocks rose by 8% - to 675 thsd tonnes, oats – by 67%, to 116 thsd tonnes.

At the same time, maize stocks decreased by 10.1% - to 425 thsd tonnes, rise – by 53.9% to 13 thsd tonnes, millet – by 24.4% to 11 thsd tonnes, buckwheat by 24.5% to 41 thsd tonnes.
