As of July 28, Russia harvested grain crops throughout the areas of 12.7 mln ha, or 27.2% of the planned harvested areas (in 2013 - 12.7 mln ha). The produced volumes reached 43.6 mln tonnes of grains in bunker weight (in 2013 - 35.5 mln tonnes), with the yield of 3.44 t/ha (in 2013 – 2.79 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 9.9 mln ha, or 38.9% of the harvested areas (in 2013 - 9.5 mln ha). The produced volumes totaled 35.9 mln tonnes (in 2013 - 28.7 mln tonnes) with the average yield of 3.64 t/ha (in 2013 – 3.03 t/ha).
Russia harvested winter and spring barley throughout 1.3 mln ha, or 13.5% of the planned areas (in 2013 - 1.6 mln ha). The produced volumes reached 3.8 mln tonnes (in 2013 - 3.6 mln tonnes) with the average yield of 3.05 t/ha (in 2013 – 2.29 t/ha).
In addition, agrarians harvested winter rapeseed throughout 222.3 thsd ha, or 17.9% of the harvested areas (in 2013 - 186.8 thsd ha). The production totaled 367.2 thsd tonnes (in 2013 - 320.3 thsd tonnes) with the yield of 1.65 t/ha (in 2013 – 1.71 t/ha).
