In September 2014 Russia may slightly reduce the export volumes of grains compared with the index, expected in August 2014 - to 3.8-3.9 mln tonnes, as opposed to 4 mln tonnes, expected in August, forecasted Igor Pavensky, Deputy Director of the strategic management department of Rusagrotrans CJSC, on August 28.

According to his estimations, slowdown of grain export rates, due to increasing of prices for grain products and the logistics component (congestion of the ports), became the main reason for the forecasted reduction.

Nevertheless, the export rates of September 2014 will break the record for the reporting month (the same as in August) - the previous record was reached in September 2011, when Russia supplied 3.78 mln tonnes of grains on foreign markets, said I.Pavensky.
