In the current year Ukraine produced more than 24 mln tonnes of wheat, so there is no reason to impose limitations on the grain exports in 2014/15 MY, declared Vladimir Klimenko, President of Ukrainian Grain Association, on August 28.
According to him, agricultural associations of Ukraine signed the memorandum on coordination of the volume of grain exports in 2014/15 MY, and Ihor Shvaika, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, will sign it in the nearest future.
According to V.Klimenko, Ukrainian grain traders have to ensure the exports of grains at such level that domestic grain producers to maximize their profit, so that they to sell the surplus grain stocks, the exporters to fulfill their obligations, and the domestic Ukrainian market to become saturated with wheat and flour. Also, he said that in 2014/15 MY Ukraine will be able to export 32-33 mln tonnes of grains.
