According to the Statistics Committee at the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in 2016/17 MY the production of vegetable oils in the country reached a record level at 349.1 thsd tonnes, an increase of 17% compared with the previous season volumes.
In August 2017, Kazakhstan produced 29.2 thsd tonnes of vegetable oils, up 24% compared with August 2016, and up 3% compared with July 2017.
Also, it should be noted that last season the production volumes of sunflower, flaxseed and soybean oils increased. In particular, the production of crude sunflower oil totaled 123.6 thsd tonnes (up 17% for the season-2015/16), refined sunflower oil -130.1 thsd tonnes (up 75%), flaxseed oil - 24.7 thsd tonnes (up 36%), soybeans - 19 thsd tonnes (up 17%).
