In 2016, the share of rye flour in the general flour production in Ukraine dropped to 4.8% - expert




During five recent years, the average share of rye flour in the general structure of flour production in Ukraine is estimated at nearly 6%, but in 2016 the figures decreased to 4.8%, declared the Director of the Union "Millers of Ukraine", Rodion Rybchinskiy during his report within frames of "Grain Processors Forum - 2017".

The expert noted that a systematic reduction of rye production in Ukraine, as well as the active imports of rye flour from Belarus, became the main reasons for such situation development.

So, in 2016/17 MY the import volumes of the product totaled nearly 3.1 thsd tonnes per month.
