According to him, in 2006 Kazakhstan came to the third position in the global exports of flour, and supplied 1.12 mln tonnes of the product on foreign markets, which was a complete surprise. In 2016, the exports of flour already exceeded 2.3 mln tonnes.
According to the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to date the general flour milling capacities in Kazakhstan total 9.5 mln tonnes. But grain processors and bakers estimate the figures at nearly 11.5-12 mln tonnes.
