In October 2017, Russia will export nearly 4-4. 3 mln tonnes of grains, which would become the maximum result for the reporting month, and significantly exceed the figures for the same month last year (2.95 mln tonnes), declared the Head of the analytical center Rusagrotrans JSC, Igor Pavensky on October 23.

According to him, the forecast is based on the expected dynamics of shipments from the deep-sea ports, which total 2.43 mln tonnes, against 1.4 mln tonnes last year, as well as the general dynamics of grain exports.

I.Pavensky specified that in the reporting month the export volumes of wheat will reach 3.2 mln tonnes, an increase of 1.5 times compared with the last year figures. Also, the shipments of barley will double, to 400 thsd tonnes. At the same time, corn exports will slightly decline to 340 thsd tonnes, against 643 thsd tonnes in October 2016.

If the reporting forecast comes true, during the first four months of the season (July-October) Russia will supply nearly 16.5 mln tonnes of grains on foreign markets, up 23% compared with the same period last season, added the expert.
