Since the beginning of the season, and as of November 7, the exports of Russian grains and its by-products reached a record at 20.9 mln tonnes, an increase of 4.3 mln tonnes (26%) compared with the similar period in 2016/17 MY, which already exceeded the figures for 5-month periods of many previous seasons, reported the Federal State-Funded Institution "Federal Centre of Quality and Safety Assurance for Grain and Grain products" on November 10.

In particular, Turkey moved to the first position in the TOP list of countries-importers of Russian grain products. As of November 7, the country imported 2.95 mln tonnes of Russia grains, up 22% and 0.2 % compared with the same period and first 5 months of last season, respectively.

At the same time, Turkey increased purchases of Russian wheat by 13% compared with the same period last season, corn - up 3.5 times, peas - up 1.5 times, and lentils - up 3.1 times.
