As of November 1, 2017, the general production of grains and pulses in all types of Russian agricultural households reached 135.3 mln tonnes in bunker weight, an increase of 12.7% compared with the same date last year. Also, agrarians harvested 8.2 mln tonnes of sunflower seed, down 20.7% compared with the beginning of November 2016, reported the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).
According to the announcement, as of November 1 the country harvested grains and pulses throughout 93.9% of the planned areas, including corn for grain - throughout 60.5% of the areas. At the same time, the harvested areas under sunflower seed reached 66.3%.
Agricultural organizations, which concentrated 66.5% of the areas under grains and pulses (without corn), already harvested 70.4% of the general planned grain volumes, and 69.6% of sunflower seed volumes. Also, peasant (farmer) households 28.8% already harvested 28.8% of the general planned grain volumes, and sunflower seed - 29.8%, declared Rosstat.
