Since the beginning of 2018, Aktau Marine North Terminal (Kazakhstan) shipped 331 thsd tonnes of grains, up 2 times compared with the same period last year (156 thsd tonnes), reported the press-service of the terminal on April 15.
According to the announcement, the transshipment volumes increased due to the growth of the share of Russian grains in the general structure of grain exports and transit.
Also, Iran was considered as the main direction of grain shipments, which is the main importer of grains in the Caspian region. In the reporting period, nearly 90 vessels entered the Aktau port for shipment of the reporting grain volumes.
