Russia: in 2018/19 MY, the Ministry of Agriculture can start interventions on the grain and milk markets
If it is necessary, in 2018/19 MY the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation can apply its mechanism of the public purchasing interventions on the markets of grains and milk, declared the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Jambulat Khatuov on May 11.
For a recent decade, such market instrument as purchasing interventions demonstrated rather effective work results. Of course, it is subject to the market segment of grains, as well as purchasing interventions of dairy products, if required. But development of special tools for regulation of the domestic market, including the market of milk, by using the full potential of neighbouring countries, is more attractive goal, said J.Khatuov.
