As of August 1, 2018, the registered carry-over stocks of grains and pulses in Kazakhstan totaled 4.378 mln tonnes. In particular, peasant and farming households stored 359 thsd tonnes of grains, reported the Statistics Committee at the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Wheat formed the major share of the general grain stocks — 3.864 mln tonnes, including 3.518 mln tonnes of milling wheat, 276 thsd tonnes of feed wheat, and nearly 70 thsd tonnes of wheat for seeds.
Also, corn stocks totaled 23.1 thsd tonnes, rice — 26.5 thsd tonnes, barley — 273.5 thsd tonnes, rye — 10.5 thsd tonnes, oats — 53.9 thsd tonnes, buckwheat — 41.6 thsd tonnes, millet — 1.9 thsd tonnes, and mixture of spiked grain crops — 11.6 thsd tonnes.
As a reminder, as of July 1 grain stocks in Kazakhstan totaled over 5 mln tonnes.
