As of October 1, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the general areas of 38.9 mln ha (in 2017 — 41.3 mln ha), or 86.7% of the plan. The production volumes reached 100.4 mln tonnes (124.3 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.58 t/ha (3.01 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 23.7 mln ha, or 89.1% of the plan. The average yield totaled 2.89 t/ha, and the production volumes reached 68.3 mln tonnes. Also, Russia harvested 16.8 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 7.4 mln ha, or 93.6% of the plan. The average yield totaled 2.25 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 921.2 thsd ha, or 38.1% of the planted areas. The production volumes totaled 3.5 mln tonnes, while the yield — 3.75 t/ha.

Russia continued harvesting rice, and already produced 437.1 thsd tonnes of the grain. The harvested areas reached 69.1 thsd ha (38.2%), with the yield at 6.32 t/ha.

Agrarians produced 4.2 mln tonnes of sunflower seed. The harvested areas reached 2.3 mln ha (29.5%), with the yield at 1.78 t/ha.

In addition, rapeseed harvested areas reached 1.1 mln ha, or 70% of the plan. The production totaled 1.6 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.48 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 2 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout 1.1 mln ha (40.4% of the plan). The average yield totaled 1.79 t/ha.

Also, Russia harvested 18.9 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 532.7 thsd ha, or 48% of the plan. The average yield reached 35.51 t/ha.

At the same time, Russia already planted winter crops for the harvest-2019 throughout the areas of 13.9 mln ha, or 80.7% of the forecast (in 2017 — 12.3 mln ha).
