As of October 4, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the general areas of 40.1 mln ha (in 2017 — 42.4 mln ha), or 89.4% of the plan. The production volumes reached 103 mln tonnes (127.3 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.57 t/ha (3 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 24.5 mln ha, or 92.3% of the plan. The average yield totaled 2.85 t/ha, and the production volumes reached 69.7 mln tonnes. Also, Russia harvested 17 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 7.5 mln ha, or 94.9% of the plan. The average yield totaled 2.25 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 1 mln ha, or 43.3% of the planted areas. The production volumes totaled 4.1 mln tonnes, while the yield — 3.9 t/ha.

Russia continued harvesting rice, and already produced 476.7 thsd tonnes of the grain. The harvested areas reached 74.3 thsd ha (41%), with the yield at 6.41 t/ha.

Agrarians produced 4.8 mln tonnes of sunflower seed. The harvested areas reached 2.8 mln ha (34.8%), with the yield at 1.75 t/ha.

In addition, rapeseed harvested areas reached 1.2 mln ha, or 75.2% of the plan. The production totaled 1.7 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.47 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 2.2 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout 1.3 mln ha (45.2% of the plan). The average yield totaled 1.75 t/ha.

Also, Russia harvested 20.6 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 582.3 thsd ha, or 52.5% of the plan. The average yield reached 35.44 t/ha.

At the same time, Russia already planted winter crops for the harvest-2019 throughout the areas of 14.7 mln ha, or 85.4% of the forecast (in 2017 — 13.9 mln ha).
