According to data by APK-Inform Agency, in October Ukraine expanded the geography of its wheat bran exports and almost doubled the shipment of the products from the seaports (according to the preliminary estimations, the shipments increased from 28.9 thsd tonnes in September to 59.8 thsd tonnes in October).

This trend was caused by the Ukrainian export-oriented companies’ desire to diversify their risks when working with Turkey, which lately was the major market for the Ukrainian wheat bran and now has a difficult and fragile economy.

According to the preliminary data by the end of October, the export shipments to Turkey continued to decline from 25.6 thsd tonnes to 23.8 thsd tonnes.

Herewith, for the first time since 2015/16 MY wheat bran was exported to Saudi Arabia which bought 25.5 thsd tonnes and took first position as a leading importer ahead of Turkey. Also, for the first time Senegal has become interested to import bran from Ukraine. Moreover, the product was shipped to Singapore, and small volumes were exported to Egypt, Cyprus, Vietnam, Lithuania and Romania.
