For three quarters of 2018, Kazakhstan increased flour production

In January-September of 2018, the production volumes of flour in Kazakhstan totaled 3.05 mln tonnes, an increase of 1.9% only compared with the same period last year, reported the Statistics Committee at the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 12.

According to the announcement, Kostanay oblast produced the largest volumes of flour — 854.3 thsd tonnes, or 28% of the general volume, down 5.6% compared with the level of January-September of 2017.

In the reporting period, North Kazakhstan oblast (up 26.9%), West Kazakhstan oblast (up 25.8%), and Almaty oblast (up 18.5%) demonstrated the most significant upward trend in flour production. Usually, Akmola oblast takes place in the TOP-3 of leaders, but since the beginning of the current year the oblast produced 309.2 thsd tonnes of flour only, which remained unchanged compared with three quarters last year.
