In January-November of 2018, the affiliated company of JSC National Company Food Contract Corporation in the port Aktau — Ak Biday-Terminal JSC, shipped 712.9 thsd tonnes of grains through its grain terminal (400 thsd tonnes in the same period of 2017), declared the press-service of the Corporation on December 10.

According to the announcement, in the current year the Islamic Republic of Iran became the basic direction of Kazakh grain supplies in the Caspian region. Also, the high figures were achieved due to the favourable weather and climatic conditions (absence of the wind and precipitations), availability of the capacities in the seaport of Aktau (free berths), and extra places to accommodate grain rail cars.
