In November 2018, the production of vegetable oils in Kazakhstan totaled 30.3 thsd tonnes, which became the minimum figure for the reporting month for 5 recent seasons, reported the Statistics Committee at the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In particular, the market segment of sunflower oil demonstrated the most significant fall in production volumes. In the reporting period, Kazakhstan produced 10.9 thsd tonnes of crude sunflower oil, down 3% compared with the previous month, and down 25% compared with the volumes in November 2017. The production of refined sunflower oil totaled 8.5 thsd tonnes, against 7.8 thsd tonnes in October 2018, and 14.1 thsd tonnes in November 2017.

Also, the production of rapeseed oil started increasing. In the reporting month, the production volumes totaled 3.7 thsd tonnes, up 27% compared with the same month last year.

At the same time, the production of cottonseed oil remained stable. So, in November 2018 the production of the reporting type of oil reached 3 thsd tonnes, up more than 2 times compared with the volumes produced by oil companies in November 2017.
