In January-November of 2018, the foreign trade deficit in goods in Ukraine reached 8.866 bln USD, as opposed to 5.323 bln USD in the same period last year, reported the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on January 14.

In particular, for 11 months of 2018 the exports of commodities from Ukraine totaled 43.248 bln USD, up 9.9% compared with the same period of 2017. The import volumes of goods to Ukraine totaled 52.113 bln USD, up 16.7%.

The export-import coverage ratio totaled 0.83 (in January-August of 2017 — 0.88). Ukraine provided foreign trade operations with partners from 220 countries.

In the reporting period, the volume of Ukrainian commodities exports to the EU increased by 15.7% — to 18.416 bln USD, and the imports of EU commodities increased by 12.4% — to 21.182 bln USD.
