According to the official statistics figures, in 2018 Kazakhstan exported 5.8 mln tonnes of wheat, an increase of 49% compared with the previous year, which became the maximum results for 6 recent years.

At the same time, in 2018 ten companies-exporters provided 37% of the general shipment volumes of the Kazakh grain:

Traditionally, Uzbekistan became the main export destination for Kazakh wheat — 2.2 mln tonnes, or 39% of all export shipments, against 1.7 mln tonnes in 2017. In the rating of importers, Tajikistan and China took the second and third positions, respectively. In 2018, Tajikistan imported 1 mln tonnes of Kazakh wheat (18%), and China — 549 thsd tonnes (10%).
