One of the priorities of Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) must be the tightening of the control on quality of the exported grains, declared the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Patrushev at the wrap-up session on March 20.

«Today 132 countries around the world are the buyers of Russian grains and the Ministry should make every effort to preserve the status of Russia as one of the largest global suppliers of grains. In particular, in 2019 the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance has work to be done to ensure quality and safety of grains and products of processing, including those for export» – noted the minister.

Moreover, D. Patrushev believes that the development and the implementation of the unified system of plant products traceability is one of the ways to reach the goal.

«Rosselkhoznadzor has the necessary experience: the complex of informational systems developed by Rosselkhoznadzor enables to manage the situation in terms of exports which is highly appreciated by the international trade partners of Russia. This work will be continued in the current year» – emphasized D. Patrushev.
