Russia: Ministry of Agriculture formed the proposed level of grain purchasing prices for 2019/20 MY

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation drafted the proposal on the minimum purchasing prices for grain crops, in terms of holding of the public purchasing interventions in 2019/20 MY. On March 6, the Ministry published the relevant draft decree on the official web-portal for legal information.

At the same time, the Ministry proposed to fix the various price levels for crops depending on the regions of purchase.

So, in the Central Federal District the minimum purchasing price of 3-grade wheat is planned to total 9`900 RUR/t (hereinafter, taking into account the VAT), the Southern and North Caucasian Districts — 11`100 RUR/t, the Volga District — 8`600 RUR/t, the Ural District — 9`600 RUR/t, the Siberian and Far Eastern Districts — 8`400 RUR/t.

In the Central Federal District, the purchasing price of 4-grade wheat will reach 9`000 RUR/t, the Southern and North Caucasian Districts — 10`200 RUR/t, the Volga District — 7`600 RUR/t, the Ural District — 8`500 RUR/t, the Siberian and Far Eastern Districts — 7`900 RUR/t.

As for 5-grade wheat, in the Central Federal District the minimum purchasing price will total 7`800 RUR/t, the Southern and North Caucasian Districts — 9`100 RUR/t, the Volga District — 6`800 RUR/t, the Ural District — 7`900 RUR/t, the Siberian and Far Eastern Districts — 7`300 RUR/t.

In the Central Federal District, the minimum purchasing price of barley will total 9`000 RUR/t, the Southern and North Caucasian Districts — 10`600 RUR/t, the Volga District — 8`100 RUR/t, the Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern Districts — 7`100 RUR/t.

In 2019/20 MY, in the Central Federal District the minimum purchasing price of corn will total 8`200 RUR/t, the Southern and North Caucasian Districts — 9`700 RUR/t, the Volga, Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern Districts — 8`100 RUR/t.

In all Federal Districts, the minimum purchase price of 3-grade rye is expected to vary at 6`700 RUR/t.

As a reminder, for two recent seasons Russia did not provide the purchasing interventions on the grain market.
