According to the State Statistics Service, in January-March of 2019 Ukraine exported agricultural products at the general sum of 5.4 bln USD, an increase of 1 bln USD (up 22.5%) compared with the same period in 2018, declared the Deputy Director on scientific work at the National scientific center “Institute of Agrarian Economics”, Academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences (NAAS), Nikolai Pugachev on May 13.

It was noted that in the first quarter of 2019, the exports of grains increased by 41% compared with the same period last year — to 14 mln tonnes, oilseeds — up 21%, to 1.8 mln tonnes, meat and edible offal — up 31%, to 112 thsd tonnes.

As a reminder, in the first quarter of 2019 the share of commodities of the agro-industrial complex in the general foreign trade turnover in Ukraine totaled more than 26%.
