In January-April of 2019, the production volumes of crude sunflower oil in Ukraine totaled 1.992 mln tonnes, an increase of 12.3% compared with the same period last year, reported the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on May 23.
In particular, in April 2019 the production of sunflower oil totaled 502 thsd tonnes, up 8.5% compared with April 2018, but down 4.7% compared with March 2019.
Also, for the first four months of 2019 the production of margarines and edible fats totaled 47.6 thsd tonnes, down 3.2% compared with the same period last year. In particular, in April 2019 Ukraine produced 11.9 thsd tonnes of the products, up 7.4% compared with the same month in 2018, but down 9.8% compared with March 2019.
As for flour production, in January-April of 2019 Ukraine produced 529 thsd tonnes of wheat and wheat-rye flour, down 8.8% compared with the same period in 2018.
In particular, in April 2019 Ukraine produced 137 thsd tonnes of the products, up 4.3% compared with the same month of 2018, but down 1.4% compared with the figures in March 2019.
