In January-April of 2019, Kazakhstan exported 2.1 mln tonnes of wheat and meslin at the general sum of 384.5 mln USD. At the same time, the grain exports in physical terms increased by 2.1% compared with the same period last year, and in monetary terms — up 20.1%, reported the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan shipped the major volumes of wheat to Uzbekistan (759.5 thsd tonnes), Tajikistan (323.5 thsd tonnes), Azerbaijan (213.8 thsd tonnes), China (131.9 thsd tonnes), Afghanistan (127.6 thsd tonnes), and Turkmenistan (115.5 thsd tonnes). In addition, in January-April Kazakhstan supplied 87.2 thsd tonnes of wheat to Turkey, 79.3 thsd tonnes — to Italy, and 71.7 thsd tonnes — to Russia.

In the reporting period, the exports of wheat flour totaled 537 thsd tonnes (down 30%) at the sum of 115.2 mln USD (down 21%). Afghanistan (323.2 thsd tonnes) and Uzbekistan (136.9 thsd tonnes) were the main importers of the Kazakh product.
