According to regional divisions of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), since the beginning of the season-2019/20 (July 1), and as of September 3, Russia already exported 8.4 mln tonnes of wheat (including movements to the territory of the Customs Union countries), down 12% compared with the same period last season, reported the Federal State-Funded Institution "Federal Centre of Quality and Safety Assurance for Grain and Grain products" on September 4.

Also, in the reporting period Russia exported 997 thsd tonnes of barley (down 19% compared with the same period in 2018/19 MY), 297 thsd tonnes of corn (down 21%), 127 thsd tonnes of peas (down 22%), 51 thsd tonnes of chickpeas (up 3 times), and 92 thsd tonnes of wheat bran (down 24%).

In addition, Russia demonstrated the high shipment rates of oilseeds and its by-products. Thus, since the beginning of the season the exports of soybeans increased in 4 times — to 162 thsd tonnes, sunflower meal — up 2 times, to 137 thsd tonnes, and soybean meal — up 13%, to 47 thsd tonnes. At the same time, the exports of rapeseed decreased by 28% compared with the last year level — to 47 thsd tonnes.

Generally, in the reporting period Russia supplied 10.7 mln tonnes of grains, oilseeds and its by-products on foreign markets, down 10% (or 1.3 mln tonnes) compared with the same period last season.

Russia shipped the reporting goods to 114 countries, as opposed to 119 countries as of September 3, 2018.
