As of September 9, Belarusian agrarians harvested grains and pulses (including corn) throughout the areas of 2.102 mln ha, or 89.7% of the plan (2.344 mln ha). The production volumes reached 6.552 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield at 3.12 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus.
In particular, as of the reporting date Minsk oblast harvested the largest volumes of grains in the country — 1.7 mln tonnes, followed by Brest oblast — 1.21 mln tonnes, and Grodno oblast — 1.19 mln tonnes. In addition, Vitebsk oblast harvested 976.4 thsd tonnes of grains, Mogilev oblast — 757.9 thsd tonnes, and Gomel oblast — 694.7 thsd tonnes.
Thus, the reporting oblasts still have to harvest grains throughout the range of 25% of the remaining areas (Gomel oblast) to 2.6% (Vitebsk oblast) of the areas.
Also, the country reached the final stages of the harvesting campaign of rapeseed. Agrarians harvested the oilseed throughout 313.8 thsd ha, or 91.8% of the plan (342 thsd ha). The production volumes reached 654.6 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 2.09 t/ha.
As of the reporting date, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 230.3 thsd ha, or 17% of the plan (1.352 mln ha).
