As of September 9, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 32.7 mln ha (in 2018 — 30 mln ha), or 69.9% of the forecast. The production volumes reached 93.3 mln tonnes of grains (in 2018 — 84 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.85 t/ha (in 2018 — 2.8 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on September 10.

In particular, agrarians harvested 65.5 mln tonnes of wheat throughout 20.8 mln ha (74%), with the yield of 3.15 t/ha. Also, Russia harvested 18.6 mln tonnes of barley throughout 7.2 mln ha (81.4%), with the yield of 2.6 t/ha.

Russian agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 163.2 thsd ha, or 6.3% of the forecast. The production volumes totaled 782.9 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 4.8 t/ha. Agrarians started harvesting rice, and produced 107.8 thsd tonnes of the grain. The harvested areas reached 16.6 thsd ha (8.5%), with the yield at 6.5 t/ha.

At the same time, agrarians already harvested sunflower seed throughout 690.5 thsd ha (8.1%), and produced 1.6 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield at 2.27 t/ha.

Agrarians continued harvesting rapeseed, and as of September 9 the areas reached 469.7 thsd ha (30.1%). The production volumes reached 909.7 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.94 t/ha.

In addition, Russia harvested soybeans throughout 568.3 thsd ha (18.7%), and produced 1.2 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 2.06 t/ha.

At the same time, Russian agrarians harvested 8.2 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 190.1 thsd ha (16.6%), with the yield of 42.96 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, Russia already planted winter crops for the harvest-2020 throughout 6.9 mln ha, or 39.6% of the forecast (in 2018 — 6.4 mln ha).
