As of September 10, Kazakh agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 5.426 mln ha, against 3.89 mln ha on the same date last year, which reached 35.6% of the plan (15.23 mln ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the same time, the production volumes of grains totaled 6.235 mln tonnes (in 2018 — 5.106 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 1.15 t/ha (1.31 t/ha).
In particular, the following oblasts of the country provided the major harvesting works of grain crops: Akmola oblast harvested the largest volumes of grains — 1.011 mln tonnes throughout 21.9% of the planned areas, as well as North Kazakhstan oblast — 960.9 thsd tonnes (23%), Jambyl oblast — 763.7 thsd tonnes (94.6%), Almaty oblast — 721.7 thsd tonnes (73.3%), Kostanay oblast — 661.4 thsd tonnes (34.9%), and East Kazakhstan oblast — 601.6 thsd tonnes (60.7%).
