As of September 16, Ukrainian agrarians already planted winter grains throughout the areas of 840 thsd ha, or 12% of the forecast, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In particular, the areas under winter wheat totaled 779 thsd ha (13% of the forecast), winter rye — 32 thsd ha (26%), and winter barley — 29 thsd ha (3%).

Also, the planted areas under winter rapeseed reached 923 thsd ha, or 86% of the forecast.

In addition, as of the reporting date all categories of agricultural households in Ukraine harvested 40.8 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 10.3 mln ha, or 68% of the forecast. The average yield totaled 3.95 t/ha. In particular, the production of early grain crops and pulses in the country reached 39.2 mln tonnes. The harvest of corn totaled 1.3 mln tonnes, while the areas — 218 thsd ha (4%).

At the same time, agrarians harvested 43 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 32 thsd ha (47%), and 126 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 66 thsd ha (73%).

Also, agrarians harvested 5.4 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout the areas of 2.5 mln ha (43%), with the yield of 2.18 t/ha. At the same time, the production of soybeans reached 1 mln tonnes, with the yield of 2.26 t/ha, and the areas of 461 thsd ha (29%).
