In January-August of 2019, the general production volumes of crude sunflower oil and its fractions in Russia totaled 3.4 mln tonnes, up 18.3% compared with the figures in the same period last year, reported the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) on September 16.
It should be noted that for the first 7 months of the current year, the upward rates of production totaled 15.7%.
At the same time, the production of wheat and wheat-rye flour types in Russia increased by 0.4% compared with the same period last season, and totaled 5.5 mln tonnes, as well as confectionery products — up 1.4%, to 2.5 mln tonnes.
Also, in the reporting period Russia reduced the production of margarines by 6.8% — to 283 thsd tonnes.
