As of October 4, Kazakh agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 13.46 mln ha, against 13.81 mln ha on the same date last year, which reached 88.2% of the plan (15.258 mln ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the same time, the production volumes of grains totaled 15.672 mln tonnes (in 2018 — 19.27 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 1.16 t/ha (1.39 t/ha).
In particular, four oblasts of the country provided the major harvesting results: Akmola oblast harvested the largest volumes of grains — 3.987 mln tonnes throughout 88.4% of the planned areas, North Kazakhstan oblast — 3.494 mln tonnes (79.8%), as well as Kostanay oblast — 2.25 mln tonnes (85.9%), and Almaty oblast — 1.003 mln tonnes (86%).
