According to regional divisions of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), since the beginning of the season-2019/20 (July 1), and as of October 8, Russia already exported 13.3 mln tonnes of wheat (including movements to the territory of the Customs Union countries), down 9% compared with the same period last season, reported the Federal State-Funded Institution "Federal Centre of Quality and Safety Assurance for Grain and Grain products" on October 11.
Also, in the reporting period Russia exported 1.3 mln tonnes of barley (down 25% compared with the same period in 2018/19 MY), 208 thsd tonnes of peas (down 19%), 93 thsd tonnes of chickpeas (up 3 times), and 146 thsd tonnes of wheat bran (down 21%).
In addition, Russia demonstrated the high shipment rates of oilseeds and its by-products. Thus, since the beginning of the season the exports of soybeans increased in 3 times — to 215 thsd tonnes, flaxseed — up 62%, to 116 thsd tonnes, and sunflower meal — up 2 times, to 216 thsd tonnes. At the same time, the exports of rapeseed decreased by 11% compared with the last year level — to 116 thsd tonnes.
Generally, in the reporting period Russia supplied 16.9 mln tonnes of grains, oilseeds and its by-products on foreign markets, down 8% (or 1.4 mln tonnes) compared with the same period last season.
Russia shipped the reporting goods to 119 countries, as opposed to 126 countries as of October 8, 2018.
