Ukraine: SFGCU increased grain exports in more than 1.5 times




For 9 months of 2019, PJSC “State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine” (SFGCU) increased the export volumes of grains by 69% — to 2.2 mln tonnes, declared the press-service of the Corporation.

In the reporting period, the revenues of the trading segment increased to 10.2 bln UAH, as opposed to 6.3 bln UAH for 9 months of 2018, due to the growth of the sales volumes and prices.

The segment of finished products increased the sales volumes of flour and wheat bran by 46% — to 143 thsd tonnes, against 98 thsd tonnes in the same period of 2018. The revenues of the segment increased by 87% — from UAH 437 mln UAH for 9 months of 2018, to 817 mln UAH for 9 months 2019.

In addition, the revenues significantly increased not only due to the growth of volumes, but also the growth of sales of finished products, in terms of diversification of sales through retail trade networks.
