In January-October of 2019, the traffic volumes of grains and its by-products by rail in Ukraine increased by 23.9% compared with the same period last year, and totaled 32.3 mln tonnes, reported the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on November 21.
As for the transportation volumes of chemical and mineral fertilizers, in the reporting period the figures also increased by 32.9% — to 3.8 mln tonnes.
Generally, for ten months of 2019 the Ukrainian Railway (JSC Ukrzaliznytsia) transported 262.1 mln tonnes of cargoes, down 2.3% compared with the same period last year.
