As of November 1, 2019, the carry-over stocks of grains in agricultural, harvesting and processing organizations of the Russian Federation totaled 46.2 mln tonnes, a decrease of 1.4 mln tonnes, or 3% compared with the figures on the same date in 2018, declared the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

At the same time, the carry-over stocks of grains in agricultural organizations increased by 1.6 mln tonnes (up 5%), compared with November 1, 2018 — to 31.6 mln tonnes. Harvesting and processing organizations decreased the figures by 3 mln tonnes (down 17%) — to 14.6 mln tonnes.

In particular, wheat stocks totaled 27.4 mln tonnes, down 2.9 mln tonnes (or 9.6%) compared with the same date in 2018, including grain harvesting and processing organizations — 10.6 mln tonnes (down 22.6%), and agricultural enterprises — 16.8 mln tonnes (up 1.5%).

In addition, as of the beginning of the reporting month barley stocks in grain harvesting and processing organizations increased to 2 mln tonnes (up 6.9% y-o-y), corn — 1.1 mln tonnes (up 41.5%), and millet — 13 thsd tonnes (up 19.5%).

At the same time, rye stocks reduced by 45.9% — to 307 thsd tonnes, rice — 41 thsd tonnes (down 40ю8%), buckwheat — 111 thsd tonnes (down 3.4%), and oats — 148 thsd tonnes (down 18.6%).
