According to the weekly monitoring reports by APK-Inform Agency, in the period of November 22-28, 2019, the export volumes of major grains from the Russian sea and river ports reached 516 thsd tonnes, a decrease of 33% compared with the previous week volumes (767 thsd tonnes, taking into account the updated figures).

In particular, the shipment volumes of wheat formed the major share in the structure of supplies, and totaled 421 thsd tonnes, against 575 thsd tonnes in the previous week. At the same time, the export volumes of corn declined almost 3 times — to 44 thsd tonnes. Also, the shipments of barley decreased by 21% — to 51 thsd tonnes, as opposed to 64 thsd tonnes.

In the reporting period, Egypt (184 thsd tonnes), Indonesia (75 thsd tonnes), and Bangladesh (55 thsd tonnes) were the TOP-3 of countries-importers of Russian grains.

According to APK-Inform figures, since the beginning of the new marketing year (July 1, 2019) Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port remained the leader of grain foreign shipments — 6.53 mln tonnes. The port Kavkaz took the second position with its shipment volumes at 5.55 mln tonnes, and JSC Rostov Seaport took the third position — 1.5 mln tonnes.
